Terms of Engagement

I believe a strong working relationship, whether it be for a one-time engagement or an ongoing business arrangement, depends on a clear outlay of expectations. Here we’ve outlined some general information about my rates and how I operate.

Flat-Rate Fees vs Hourly Rate

For the Resumé Writing Services, I offer flat-rate fees. Click here for details.


For projects without flat-rate fees, I will be happy to provide an estimate upon request. Again, if the costs will exceed the estimate, you’ll be made aware before additional work is completed.

Payment Options

My preferred method of payment is Interac e-Transfer. I can also accept payments by cash or cheque. I do not accept credit card payments at this time.


Full payment is required up-front for flat-rate services and for any projects requiring less than 8 hours of billable time.


For small business clients, credit may be extended after the first 8 hours of work is completed, with invoices issued monthly. Limits to credit may be imposed at my professional discretion. Payment is due within 15 days of invoice date.

Travel & Expenses

I’ll be pleased to meet with you in-person at my office in Saint John, or to conduct interviews and consultations by phone or Skype.


If you prefer to meet at your own home, place of work or a coffee shop in the City of Saint John, there will be an additional fee of $30.


For appointments in Grand Bay-Westfield, Rothesay or Quispamsis, there will be an additional fee of $45.


For travel beyond these areas, travel time will be billed at the standard billing rate plus $0.40 per km to and from the meeting location, based on starting at our office.


For meetings requiring a high level of confidentiality (such as discrete resume-writing consultations) appointments can be arranged at a private home office location in Willow Grove for an additional fee of $50.


Other expenses, such as printing costs, meals when traveling and accommodations will be billed at cost.


All service fees are subject to 15% Harmonized Sales Tax.
